now every damn time i open ableton/fl/cubase using the asio4all..no other audio out put works outside of ableton doesnt work...only one program at a time is really frustrating..

my frustration is it works but it only works for one program at a time..its a new thing for me..i never used to have that problem.

@MathieuGPL i always have the same problem, to fix it go to control panel > harware & sound > sound > speakers > properties > advanced, then check or uncheck where it says allow applications to take exclusive control of this device, then on the asio settings box where it said the device was unavailable, unselect both the boxes with red crosses the click on them again, if this doesnt work try turning off the inputs and outputs your not using, hope this helps

this doesn't work for me. Specs: Vista - laptop - Realtek High Definition Audio soundcard with latest drivers (2010). The control panel tells me the Realtek HD Audio ouput is unavailable. no sound.
