Here is my new cat. Her name is Sapphire and she is a 10 year old Bengal female. They are bred from Asian Leopard Cats (Felis Bengalensis) and at least four of Sapphire's great great grandparents would have had to be registered as wild animals and kept caged as they were F3's (which makes her F7, this means the distance removed from an Asian Leopard cat ancestor). Check out http://www.bengalcat.co.uk for more info. She is a Blue-Eyed Snow Spotted type, although her markings are very faint. In the US she would be classed as seal lynx point. Two of her great grandparents and eight of her great-great grandparents come from the originators of the Bengal breed at Millwood in the USA.

  • that's an ABSYNNIAN CAT!!

  • I have all her pedigree details, she's bengal. Her markings aren't strong so she was never a show cat.

  • this song is in napoleon dynamite and i heard that bengal cats like water, correct?

  • I haven't seen napoleon dynamite, I got the music off the tracks youtube makes available for laying over videos.

She hasn't shown much fondness for water other than sticking her feet in her water bowl.

  • Btw, what song was that at the beggining? i heard it from Napoleon Dynamite. ;D

  • The music comes off the youtube msyic they provide that's free to use. It's Audio from Celtic Fiddle Festival-Music For A Found Harmonium/La Partida/Roumanian Tune etc

  • Firstly, your cat is beautiful and looks incredibly happy! and @ chacho500, there is obviously something wrong with you. It is sick to think that an animal should be killed because of minor imperfections and its because of dicks like you that pets are abused so much.

  • It appears your seal point Bengal has some Abyssinian in it's domestic side as the face and fur suggest. But this far removed from the F1 it is hard to tell. But with the strapped legs, the tail (although my Burmese has the same markings on the tail although not as delineated) and that face it is obviously a Bengal. You do know you have a ball of fire. Just think what she was like as a kitten. HAHAHAHA!

  • wow, amazing Bengal, are they legal in CT, because i really want one...

  • F3? aren't they a bit hyper and... wild, then? : p I'm not that familiar with bengals, so don't bite my head of if i'm wrong xD

  • Not an Abyssinian. They are much skinnier. Definitely a Bengal... right eyes and body shape, and the markings are correct on the tail.

  • i m agree with you is an abyssan

  • she looks like a mini cougar

  • My Bengal is F3. This does not look like a begnal to me. looks absynnian
