I open tld1.0_demo -> tld1.exe and there I can choose between webcam and data. I don't have camera so I'm pressing "1" for data and the programme just shuts down.

@michal1337 Login to OpenTLD discussion group and find the answer ther . Most likely you have problem with webcam.
