  • I'm torn between this version and the Jazz Suite version.

  • @grinreaperdutchphil It was number 2 not this one

  • I danced to this song when I was 13 years old. I absolutely loved it, and didn't find it till now! Thank you so much for posting it!

  • Conan o'brien has to be related to Shostakovich!

  • all of these movements make me feel like I'm in Disneyworld. I swear I heard the polka at disneyworld this summer. good memories.

  • @grinreaperdutchphil Not this part though, but, nonetheless, great composition and great movie

  • He reminds me of Dexter, from Dexter's laboratory... A bloody genius!

  • I go to the Armadale City Concert Band and we played this song, in fact we played the whole Ballet Suite. Too bad we didn't have a celesta though so I had to play that part on keyboard and play the piano parts on a proper piano. Also to top it all off, there was a timpani player, a drums player and a triangle and tambourine player but I was the only one to play xylophone and piano so I had to run between the two and it was a pain! By the way, do you like the other movements in the suite as well?

  • My favorite Shostakovich waltz! I like this orchestration more.

Yeah, I think I would really enjoy seeing a Shostakovich ballet one day, any of them.
