This is the introduction from "This Way to Sesame Street": A promotional half-hour segue way of Sesame Street, hosted by none other than Ernie and Bert, that aired on NBC on November 8, 1969, two days before the first episode.

Enjoy this rare blast from the past =)

  • I love the way Ernie keeps pushing Bert away!

  • I love that part too, especially when Bert suggests "dancing", and you can hear Jim giggle a little bit at 1:12 when he tries to make Ernie say "No Bert," LOL

  • Bert and Ernie get along great here. It's amazing that how 40 years of working along side each other has deteriorated their relationship. Last I heard, they have separate dressing rooms and don't even think of speaking together off camera. I think a lot of it has to do with Bert's inability to maintain stable relationships with other puppets. Ernie's still a little pissed about when Bert F**ked him out of a whole bunch of money on a joint venture involving something with a pigeon farm.

  • lol Xd Bert remindes me on my cat at the end. He rubs up against ppl and is grumpy. XDD

  • @Jbrangwynne53 I beleive that was just Ernie giggling.

  • Jim dies, and then Frank leaves the show :( He admits that his real life is to be a director.

Seriously, Frank, you should have told Jim you never really wanted to work with him.
