Franken goes after Thune on distorting the facts on health care. Majority of health benefits kick in immediately, not in 1800 days. Franken is vivid in his oratory expression of the misleading facts and charts that Thune presented in debate on the Senate floor.

  • 'Bout time someone got in there and started stepping up.

  • Hmm... Thune said that CASH BENEFITS (that is, dollars actually saved) don't kick in for 1800 days. Franken mentioned only vague "policy benefits" (rules about preexisting conditions) that start immediately. So Thune was accurate and factual. Just saying that you are using facts doesn't mean you are. If Franken thinks Thune is being disingenuous by selective use of facts, it's because he's doing exactly the same thing in his rebuttal.

  • Can't speak logically to a Democrat...

  • Al Franken is a fucking Boss!

  • @porovaara check out anthony weiner. he's my number one dem

  • @knopfrob You have to be kidding, how could anyone seriously vote for Franken?

  • any one from MN wanna trade Franken for Thune. come live in SD where we are a right to work state. and all Republican state.

  • the fact of the matter is these guys didn't know what was in the bill when they voted for it....

  • Oh their not thick, they just have an agenda that is very non European and anti Socialist... meaning any social projects that interfere with Wallstreet, Exxon, big corp. Etc. They DO pretend to be thick to get the Palin tea party idiots to vote for them.

On another note friend, I have watched The British Parliament and its very exiting since in America our guys tend to have this all serious business approach but your guys just go for each others throat.

  • Amen, Al. I didn't vote for you, but I definitely like you now. Idiots. If this law didn't get passed it NEVER would have. Republicans refuse to fund anything but the military. We need health care. It's an imperfect law, but that can be fixed later. The POINT is that one got passed that CAN BE FIXED. There are Republicans who actually believe America has the best health care system in the world and that universal health care will destroy our country...which is COMPLETELY FALSE.

  • Don't blame me... I voted for Coleman.

  • God, you Americans are so Victorian. You can't be called a civilised nation unless you take care of your people. Simple. At least the Democrats understand this. Republicans are essentially thick people, aren't they.
