Safir, who served as Giuliani's Fire Commissioner before becoming Police Commissioner in 1996, arranged no-bid contracts between the NYPD and The Bode Technology Group, and when he resigned as Police Comissioner in 2000, he immediately went to work as a consultant to the chief executive of ChoicePoint, Inc. and ultimately ran their Bode Technology Group subsidiary, which they purchased at Safir's urging in April 2001.

He turned a bid contract into a no bid contract circumventing the ability to test the radios. That was Rudy's decision. Americans do not support Guiliani and to say firefighters do is 100% untrue.

Re: this video, this guy claimed that there aren't radios that work thru steel, blah blah... but in the IAFF video they say that all the policemen evacuated. How did the policemen's radios work? Something is fishy.
