I love how tough she comes across when she's playing, but she's a total sweetheart with Stewart...so cute, and humble....

  • OH MY GOD THAT'S BRET HITMAN HART ON GUITAR!!!! AND HE EVEN PLAYS A SMALL OCTAVES SOLO!!!! THAT IS SO COOOOOL!!!!

  • @kalapoka666 It's James Mankey, formerly of the band Sparks.

  • @cathoderoy are you serious? that's NOT bret hart, the wrestler?

  • @kalapoka666 I've been duped!

  • i couldn't imagine what it takes to sing this song.

  • @nprbiz I'm seeing them tonight in Boston...I may try taping it, but I'm not sure if I want to risk getting booted out. They're doing the "Bloodletting" record, so they probably won't do "Heal It Up" either (bummer).

  • Many, Many scial kind of stupid morons posting negative comments regarding Concrete blonde on here. Let me share a small secret with you....this band has more talent and integrity in their first album than most bands have in their entire friggin catalog---especially these talentless, sackless puppy dogs that cant write a song to save their pathetic whiny lives.

  • Thanks for the Awesome video share. I Appreciate. =)

  • @TheElvis156 I think what sets them apart from the rest is that Bret "The Hitman" Hart is their guitar player. He really puts them over the edge in terms of talent I think.

  • wow, this is the performance that got me into Concrete Blonde. awesome to see it again.

  • @shotinreno Such anger. You need to get laid.

  • wonder if there's a singer out there today who could cover this tune....who would hit the chorus like that?...she's a force of nature when she let's it rip....man, powerful tune too...most underrated singer ever...most underrated band too, Mankey and co.

  • @elderberry9 I thought it was Billy Zoom.

  • Such an in-fucking-credible song, by an in-fucking-credible artist/band. Soooo refreshing that Johnette can have that much emotion in her when she's singing/playing/performing, and be so un-pretentious and normal when talked to by John. He seems very reticent about approaching her at the end of the song, and then she gives the cute "germ" reference, and it's fucking beautifully innoncent and pure, and completely void of any pretentiousness. Sweet, and what a fucking talent.

  • One of the reasons I feel privileged to be middle aged is the timing of my birth allowed me to see Johnette and gang, in their prime, live in all those music halls all those years ago.

Not to say her voice isn't still a mofo in 2011.

And the end of this vid reminds that Stewart actually had a prime once upon a time.

  • A voice like a Santa Anna wind pushing flames through a forest.
