You should get out of the ballroom bubble and learn the origins of the forms and see the places the have continued to live. Pro's and I am one don't know history...they know current trends and things within their respective regions and social subcultures within their respective careers, that is a more accurate statement. As a pro dancer and dance historian (we are rare), I constantly see pros teach inaccurate history, competitively biased styling, and antiquated theory.

Bobbrolo, crackersjv is right. Paso is social in some cities to this day. I would love to see such a video please do film and post it (also inform me if you do please) as a dance historian it is very often the case that the social form eventually copies stage/competition forms. Imitation is the highest form of flattery is it not? The social form is as you said nothing like this but more of a Spanish One-Step modeled after gypsy dance and torero movements/stylings.

  • Wy it is impossible to reach you?

  • @bobbrolo wow such hostility dude. i dont think theyve ever said theyve won anything

  • i lovee the paso doble but i didn't like this one. i felt like you were just stomping on the floor.

  • No bobbrolo. Ignore the crap that says pasadoble is only ballroom or competition, it is danced in Spain day in day out by normal people enjoying their fiestas. Watching pro videos doesn't tell you a damn thing. This video is better than most but a bit flowery. Damn, I should video some people doing it over here and post it so everyone knows.

  • This is horrible. You think that is a surplace? Its stomping on the floor! You haven't won jack at competitions. You think you know? And you have the balls to teach this garbage. I hope you read this because you guys are BAD! Look at professionals do the paso doble and go back to school.

  • She only knows 4 numbers ...

  • Y yo no se bailar!!!

    necesito ese video ¬¬

  • the Paso Doble is such a beautiful dance.
