http://morayeel.louisiana.edu/SeaweedsLab/phycomirth.html Gar fish in the bald cypress (Taxodium distichum) swamp ("Cypress Lake")on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Filmed on September 30, 2008 by Suzanne Fredericq.
not if you are swimming in the water, they just ignore you. but of course if you catch them, then they will be aggresive towards you because you are taking them out of their natural habitat. i have caught 7 footer that have nearly taken my hand of when i was trying to get them in the boat.
That is a very beautiful spotted gar!!!!
