  • Takes me back to Hampton Institute, Hampton, VA, Waterfront, and WHOV 88.3. Wonderful times.

  • @iluv6959 Nice.

  • Hard to believe that twenty-nine years after hearing this composition, it's still one of my all time favoirtes (having played it at the end of every evening's final radio program slot at twocolleges I attended). The poignant beauty of this song remains fresh--and you can hear why both Bob James & Earl Klugh won the Grammy that year (1981) for the Best Pop Instrumental. Thanks for the posting.

  • @carlislesparkerjr Still one of my favs too. Had the pleasure of meeting both of them. Thank you for listening.

  • Ah yes,...reminds me of being 13 watching my day read his Sunday paper while chilling to this. Excellent memories!!!

  • Good memories.

  • What a Classic....Very Beautiful...:)

  • I actually had the privilege of seeing Bob James and Earl Klugh perform this song and others from the "One On One" album live in 1979 about 3 weeks before it was released. It was an experience I will never forget!

  • as they play the song they add the various nuances to show the various moods ......... pure genious

  • It doesn't get any better. Always one my of favorites FWY music.

  • BEAUTIFUL... LOVE THIS SONG ... " BRING TEARS TO MY EYES"

  • Je n'aime pas mais vraiment pas Benson. C'est question de goût mais personnellement je n'aime pas vraiment son style.

    Ciao

  • Its a good thing that my phone IDed this song from my collection of old tapes! hehehe.. Cause I like this now!

  • Let's dedicate this one to all of the tall, slim blondes in the USA named Kari (Carrie, Cary, Karrie and Karee, as well)!!!! A great piece of work by two great jazz legends.
