good for him at his age...but this is pretty rough

@Rapture1987 Yup, thats the nature of bel canto, even in the composers time. It was about the performers fach and comfort.

Superb! TY Onegin65 for posting.

I think this is one of the best renditions, his voice and pronunciation is very clear. :D Bravo!

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with transposing this down a tone - REGARDLESS of the singer's age. Basilio's cavatina in the opera is often transposed down a whole tone, and Rosina's cavatina is taken UP a semitone when a soprano plays the role. If Basilio's and Rosina's cavatinas can be transposed down and up, why not Figaro's? Please stop being ridiculous!!
As long as the singer's tonality is faultless and as long as the interpretation is compelling, that's all that matters!!!!!

@pharrisbaritone He was born the same year as Birgit Nilsson 1918 so he was on the year of becoming 60 years of age!

I had the great honor of hearing this live.
To all the ignorant/ridiculous that have the courage to criticize one of the most wonderful baritone voices ever walked planet earth 'cause at 61 years old wanted to sing Barbiere one step lower, I want to tell you that it is a shame to have to read your comments ...IGNORANTS IGNORANTS IGNORANTS
(if translation to Italian or Spanish is needed let me know, I'll do it with pleasure)
