  • "Ole? That's dumb."

Gosh, I love this song. My mom used to play it in the car when I was a kid.

  • I cut the end off. I was listening to Dr. demento back in the 1970's and he mentioned the only store to sell the 45. I bought two!

  • Nicely done. I remember that song well, from the old Dr. Demento Radio Show. An old favorite.

  • Back in 1974 the Doc mentioned my name a couple of times. I lived in Los Angeles near KMET. I actually have it recorded! He turned me on to the only place that sold a limited release of that 45 rpm recorded!

  • The flip side has the song "Chula Vista"

  • 10 stars!

  • Thanks Chris!

  • this was my favorite song when I was a kid. I used to listen to Dr. Demento all the time when he was linked to a station in Dekalb IL

  • i went to school with one of their sons-they gave me some 45's- we used to beat on their gear.

  • At the end of the song, the guy says "OLE? THAT'S DUMB."

  • Ole fits right in! Since when did this ssong make sense?

  • nice edit job

  • As it so happens, I have a video of that performance...I taped the Cincinnati Pops Halloween concert because I was working that night. I'm not sure how I could get it transferred over to digital mode so that it could be posted. Perhaps the Cincinnati Pops has a DVD of it for sale or even PBS, as that's where it was aired?

  • Have you ever found a copy of that performance? I've been looking for a long time for videos of that concert.

  • I first heard this one in 1996 when the 1995 International Quartet Champions Marquis performed in the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra's Halloween Concert. Sadly, their Lead died a year later.
