@winniepop1 then you're stupid. This is one case of misbehavior. I'm pretty sure there are cases of misbehavior in UK too, or US or Germany. Your reaction is just racism. Attack the men not the country. Belgians were not awared of that thing happening before this video was made.

Just seems to be a culture being bred in this market of the only way to get an animal regardless of age is to beat ten bells out of it. Even the kids were doing it. The UK has one of the highest standards of animal welfare in the world. If a stockman was routinely seen doing this to animals they'd be sacked. And the cow with that huge udder, poor thing.

From years working with cattle I would have to say that methods used here can be somewhat heavy handed and some guy were hitting cattle needlessly. Hitting the cattle can leave bruises which does not look good when they are butchered. I did not see any electric cattle prods so I presume the market does not allow their use. I never used one myself but I did see them in action. I would certainly not allow anyone to hit tied up cattle for fun.
