  • "Javier Mas" ! His playing on this version of the song takes me places I thought only Drugs could...transcendent

  • I adore this man... seeing him live in 2009 was truly a religious experience! Thank you, L. Cohen, with love.

  • @MBailote What the sitting guitarrist -spanish Javier Mas- is playing is a traditional instrument in Spain called Bandurria, not a Portuguese Fado guitar. Crackfarm76 give more information in another comment below.

Yes indeed.... love the song.... I often fancy a fantastic future where confusion, fear, ignorance and all manner of evil are things of the past. ..( which human being doesn't).... Just imagine a song that would be so intensily agreeable to all hearts..a song that would sweetly relate our all ...past collective human experience..a high mass...as you call it..? Leonard Cohen prompts my imagination to that scenario.

  • @abib2054 That's a Portuguese 12 string Fado guitar.

I made the same beautiful experience on September 5th 2010, in St. Margarethen, Austria. This concert wasn't only wonderful music, it was, as you named it, kind of a high mass, and to take part in it altered a lot ! Some things in my life have changed since then... Thank you, great Leonard Cohen!
