yeah but i tried everything and it didnt work even on the house roof it didnt work then i thought to my self try 2 sets of lawnmower blades the catch the wind very well and have a lot of weight to them which makes a great flywheel effect and speed up is delayed so it dosent go too fast btw i put an emergency brake on so if something gose wrong i just pull on the rope and it clamps a disc brake it can be held on to so the blades dont start to turn

I tend to built my turbines with material that can be found in any home. So far I made sure that the turbines will not cause serious injuries to myself. Usually, it is when the wind is blowing hard that you notice that something needs to be fixed. I must be able to stop the rotation without destroying the turbine.
This is one reason why I have not used mower blades so far. Click on the blue"generatorblue" name and it will take you to my channel. I feature "the hollow tomato cage wind turbine"

I built a similar set of blades two weeks ago.
This time I used the same raw material, but folded one inch along the leading edge of the gutter screen backwards from the concave side. I ended up with a skinnier and faster blade. The one important aspect of using a wire mesh is that the tape layers from the front and the back make contact through the holes of the wire mesh. The fiberglass rods form the skeleton that strengthens the blades. Two blades share the same rods for a total of 4 rods.
