its ok for the night, and what about pictures, is it capturing them fast, so they arent blurred?

it's very good and can view full screen on my Notebook, however have to down grade the resolution in order to up load to Youtube else the file size will be too big. I have just change to a N97 but it is still 5Mega pixel camera, should be same resolution.

do u notice a red colouring/tinge on the the right hand side of the video in low light conditions at all?

yes I do, however, what I do is I mount my N95 on the handphone holder so that the flash(red LED when in video mode) is completely cover up, only leaving the len to shoot the video.
