It makes everything from my basement cement wall, to my cat, to my wooden wall look nice and colorful.. or maybe that's the radiation.. idk.. looks kickass either way!
My walls we're like solid dark red... but when i play this they actually change colors.. like a weird strobing trippy effect.. I coin the term, Solarized! Put that shit on a tee-shirt internet!

@Ravenpulse I think the plate that is used is called a chaldni plate.

@Ravenpulse the word you are looking for is CYMATICS. :-) Amazing stuff! Every frequency has a color, sound and shape. Happy Hunting! Oh and it is not an oscilloscope that is used, an oscilloscope just shows waves, not patterns. Nor a goniometer which is an instrument that either measures an angle or allows an object to be rotated to a precise angular position. This can be done with any flat item (usually metal) and a frequency or a violin bow run on the flat surface. Look up Cymatics.
Does anyone know what this visualization of sound is called? Some people say it's some kind of oscilloscope, or an audio goniometer.

@Ravenpulse
I use a standard oscilloscope (in X/Y mode, aka: phasescope)
to convert audible sinewaves into the 'raw' kymotrope animation...
Then I use a simple video editing program to add colors & fx...
