1983 Mazda RX7 Convertible FB Rotary 12A 5 Speed

Here's a video I shot of my 1983 Mazda RX 7 Convertible. Got it off of eBay last year for $1600. I'll try to get a video up soon of my Borg Warner Car of the Year 1977 Mercedes Benz with a 350 and 700R4 I got here at a local auction for $450!

Who did the conversion. Pacific Avatar or other? As we all know this not stock. I have been looking for one of these most of my adult life and you find one for 1600.00 All I can say is Congrats Man. I am very happy for you!!

@3shacks1house Not sure who did the conversion. Could of been Pacific Avatar, that's the name I've heard most often when I've shown it around the internet forums. Didn't realize how rare these were until after I bought it. Still has the rotary engine in there also, can't bring myself to pull it since it still runs great.

@feenux82 Sold that Trans Am, but I still have the RX7. The RX7's are fun and they don't weigh very much either.

what the hell? hey how many ragtops did mazda make ,all i see was gs ,an gsl, mines a 79 gsl,with corvette guts inside it.

@Vacationtime247 I have one with 150k on it sitll going strong and a motor in one i parted out that clearly was the original. no chrome left at 230k it was running prior to tear down too. keep it rotary even if something happens to the motor.

lol people, i love the rotary but when you can put a lsx in these that weigh less then the rotary or very close (450lbs) you just cant beat the power band and relieblitiy of them.

@Vacationtime247 Thanks for the reply. As to being rare... oh yeah not many were made and less exsist today due to attrition and other not so good endings. This is just me, but if the rotary still works good keep in in there. That way the car still has a soul. With out it, it is just another car. All the best and.... If you ever want to sell it......
