The 9/8 Jigs. Simon Fraser University Pipe Band at SFU for a public/media send-off practice on Aug. 2, 2009. Scottish pipe band music has many interesting time signatures which is part of the reason the bagpipe pieces seems to go round and round, picking up where they almost left off. These are challenging pipe tunes and sounding absolutely beautiful in the outdoor setting where the wee dancers in the large Sunday crowd began bouncing about,
