UPDATE: See the final MPC version of this battle theme here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v682rLL85QE&fmt=18

Main battle theme when fighting normal monsters. This is my first Mario Paint composition. I've always liked this song, and seeing other video game music composed in this program inspired me to do this one. I'm shocked that it hasn't been done already.

I apologize for the audio quality, as I don't have a decent recording device. Sorry.

Update--A more thorough and detailed version of this song can be found in the video responses below. Was better able to fit in the 16th notes and contains a more accurate bassline.

Update #2--Finally a version that is probably as accurate as it can be in the MPC program. With the addition of an electric guitar like instrument in the piranha plants, plus with accurately depicting the triplets in the solo section, I think I've finally nailed down what will be the final version. • Awesome!

  • So awsome but I got know what the hell possed you to make this wonder of wonders?!

  • retro u know wat just shut up and quit being a nitpicking jerk and lets see you do better

  • I like how you handled the faster notes in the solo, maybe one day you can double the tempo to get them in

  • I know, but his video description still says that it's made in mario paint.

  • It's a similar program for the PC called Mario Paint Composer.

  • awesome... that is all i am going to say! Freakin' Awesome! i like how it slows down at

    19 seconds in!

  • Amazing reproduction of an already brilliant song! I loved the instruments you chose for this! Works extremely well with the sound of the song. =D

  • Thanks. That's good to know, considering I had to figure out some basslines and harmonies, as well as all the percussion by ear. No small task!

    Glad you enjoyed it.
