My cockatiel does thsi to me all the time actually. It's grooming behavior. something reserved towards their perceived mates. My 'tiel is a male and i've had him basically all my life, so all that amourous behavior is typical. If he were biting your cat, don't worry, you'd know it.

Such a pretty Umbrella cockatoo! My mother owns a Moluccan cockatoo and she will do the same 'preening' behaviour with her 'flock' ie, us or the dog.

Holy snapple, I love your videos. There's just something about the relationship between that cat and bird which just fascinates me! Which of the two is the most dominant btw? The bird just looks so much more powerfull than the cat in all the videos.. may just be it's eye's tho'.

I understand and that is normanl to feel that way. And yes parrots do bite sometimes......
You just grow to love and trust and you can tell when they are not in the mood to be handled..
