1989, "Big Dream", the last album from Cook Da' Books, who, by that time, lost 2 of the band members, and recorded as a duo.

All the former members would give concerts here and there in the UK, but from that point, the band was technically over.

All you might like to know about this great band:

  • @keithman86 You meant "uploading", right?

  • Cheers for downloading this, brings back great memories, loved this group

  • @Slice68 Well of course! All tracks will be uploaded sooner or later.

  • @NotOrdinaryInGames Hey nothing wrong with the 80's stuff, sadly its only now were certain people are giving it credibility. Anyway I'm still curious to know what songs made up Big Dream have you got the full list to share

  • @Slice68 I personally believe the cheese it due to only two ppl being left to write songs. Guess more ppl were involved in the writing before this.

Still, grows on you, it does, but after like 20 listens or so.

Oh, and I LOVE 80's stuff, so where some ppl see cheesiness, I see awesomeness.

  • @NotOrdinaryInGames What were the 12 songs in this time, do you mean between between the departure of Prescott and issue of Big Dream....as the later stuff again post Digsy crucifies this as well...Still suppose on further listens it does grow - but I'd still argue there's taints of cheese compared to the level of song writing on most of their other tracks from 83 to 96, plus till bet there's many tracks which they only performed live which could still hold their own

  • @Slice68 As "Da' Books", they had existed for only 3 years. Within those 3 years, they wrote a total of 12 original songs. What standards are you talking about?

  • have to say bu Da books standards this is poor but keep them coming
