She was so procosious. I adore her. I was so glad that she won the Gold over Michelle cause everybody was tearing her down before that. Don't get me wrong, Michelle is a legend. But I love Tara's spirit. You couldn't help but root for her.

Out of this world performance. Tara was simply the No1 during that time. Just unbelievable... pushing the boundaries of the sport like no other skater had ever done to that point.

@lflagr you are right. Yu Na from this year Olympics would have blown away even Tara and Michelle from 98, and Mao might well have beaten them too even with her couple mistakes. Still that it took 12 years speaks highly to their 98 performances.

Outstanding choreographers. They know how to make every move important and lead seamlessly into the next.

Without a doubt. There is nobody in any Olympics yet who skated well enough to beat either Tara or Michelle from the 98 Olympics. Shizuka won gold with only 5 triples to 7 from Tara and Michelle, and I still would take Shizuka over badly flutzing, cheating, rounded shoulders Hughes.

wow...beautiful choreography...sandra bezic is GOOD, really good. Love her and Lori Nichol's work...they know how to bring out the best in all of their skaters!

Very aggressive. She definitely knew how to "go after it" meaning she didn't skate to preserve her placement, she skated to prove it... She rotates so damn fast. I'm jealous. She actually overrotates her flips consistently, and still lands them perfectly. Sometimes her angle on landing (blade angle to the ice) is remarkably beyond 3 twists, but it doesn't seem to bother her. Guess you get used to it. She twists right off the ground in a lot of her jumps. Not a lot of arm swing action!
