I know of three who did !
(1) One of the original compilers of the Oxford Dictionary. Under the delusion that he was being forced to rape baby girls, he amputated his maleness. He was already in an insane asylum.
(2) A man who wanted to be a priest,but his parents made him work as a cobbler. He mutilated himself,then crucified himself. He was put away in an asylum.

@EmmetEarwax It is fake. On the original video, there was a disclaimer at the end implying the video was fake. Someone cut the end off with some editing program and re-uploaded it. Look for it on wikipedia. They used wax and fake blood to make a fake penis, they raised the gamma to make it look real, then they cut it off with a hatchet. But yeah, the video is fake, you may now sleep and eat normally. "No normal person would do that" well, NO ONE would do that.

I have seen stills and clips from this infamous obscenity in a compiliation posted on the now defunct Encyclopedia Dramatica. Those could not have been faked ! Those guys destroyed themselves ! No normal person would have done such things to themselves !!
