  • when and where can i purchase this n the philippines? manila area? can this be used for industrial purposes?

  • $46.83 US??? I live in Texas and I will buy one now! Did you say Calgary? Wait, this is not oil sand is it? :-P Seriously though, I would buy one.

  • hahahaha i thought this shit was awesome until "it can be your for only 2000 pesos""lmfao

  • @randy12368 Just search for sand bio-filter how to's. I'm not quite sure but i think it seems to be about 3 weeks to get a decient start, a full month to be close drinking water and a few months to get rid of close to 100% of bacteria. But I'm no expert so do your own research

  • @spartan177saber How long should one run water through the sand to build up enough bio-layer? thanks

  • @randy12368 it's not its just plain fine sand you can buy at home depot. The trick is running water through it a while so the "bio-layer" is built up enough to pull most of the bad stuff out

  • How is the fine sand specially prepared?

  • but? would it work with ocean water.

  • @MrThefroster, it is to preserve the bio-film on the upper layer of sand, this bacterial film consumes organics, nutrients and other (possibly harmful) bacteria.

  • @zanucktv Yes, but it won't remove the salt.
