thanks for responding back for your advice. I got my first Britney for pheasants and quail, and rabbit when they're around. So far, he's really birdy by instinct and has no problem getting after those birds, and even picks up the ducks at home. I took him to Gray Lodge today and he kicked up 2 pheasants just messing around out there and not really hunting them. The only thing is that those little round sticky or thorny seeds get into his coat. I wasn't hunting, just scouting areas

im 14 and down here in southern california and this is my favorite thing to do, today our group of 4 got 26 ducks and 5 snows (woulda had more snows if the guys in the blind over didnt keep trying to skybust) we only got 2 teal, 8 pintail (2 per person=limit of pintail, 10 widgeon or something, and a bunch a spoonies, i might be going up to sac for their junior hunt so im looking forward to some northern birds

I'm just curious. How does your Britney do out there retrieving ducks and geese. And how does he hold up to the cold weather and water. I have a Britney and I haven't taken him out cuz I sort of think he might be too cold out there. What do you guys think?

@bobbisax I have 3 britneys' and have hunted them all over the country. Typically we take them upland hunting
but for some reason sage likes to chase ducks. She and I run a bird eradication service at local golf courses, so the cold weather and ducks are in her blood! It's kinda different but she's fun to have along.
