  • Very nice indeed. You, sir, amaze me with your "wood everywhere" things.

I made a press for fruits to make juice and since I wanted only liquid with no pulp and no peel, I went and modified (and cleaned very well) an automotive supercharger with twin scrolls that squishes everything. I even made juice from parsley and other general dry plants/fruits. I should make a video of it.

  • That sounds pretty crazy with the supercharger. Please do make a video of it.

  • Hey- great video and really impressive grinder

do you have the plans available?

  • Yes, click the description to go to the website.

  • I was thinking, with all you know about making marble machines and things like that, why don't you fully mechanize this contraption so that it feeds apples and presses by itself, but in a ridiculous manner like something out of a Tim Burton movie. That would be awesome!!

I guess simpler is better though if you want something to actually work. :D

  • I had been thinking of stuff like that. But my experience is, grinding is already faster than pressing.

Of course, there are commercial machines one can buy that automate almost everything, but for lots of $

  • I think that's why historically there has been so many fermented alcohol drinks. Alcohol kills a lot of germs. In fact, just googling, it appears that drinking alcohol with a meal reduces your chance of food poisoning!
