I think a tear drop trailer would be much better because everything is aluminum not fabric. Bu over all you did pretty good

Jimmy, Glad to hear you like our Explorer Box. Yes, when we say rapid open, we mean it, under one minute. They are great for both paved and off-pavement towing. At minimum I run 2000 lb axles, for off-pavement with bigger tires I like to go with 3500 lb axles. On our site, compactcampingconcepts(dot)com

@Greatbloke: By my calculations; 400 lbs (which is the dry weight of the Explorer Box) equals approximately 180 kg. Thanks for your comment!

@6billion1833 Hi, This first one cost around $1500 to build. Cost have gone up some, I would say $1500 - $2000 to build one now. On our Compact Camping Concepts web site under Products / Trailers / Explorer Box DIY is a cost breakdown on building one
