As dumb as this looks, it works. I'm a cashier and this has happened to me. Its hard to realize whats actually happening when someone is doing it to you very quickly, not to mention when there's a lot of people still waiting in line.

@Skeebled During my time working as a clerk there were several occasions where people tried this nonsense on me. Each time I would politely point them to the door and tell them to go try it someplace else.

one of our employees got conned out of $120 the other day. i've seen this happen at least 6 times, since 2005. i hate this scam
