If you have a SSD make sure your Operating System supports TRIM (Windows 7 does this by default, and Ubuntu can be tweaked to do this) - otherwise you will send your hard drive to an early grave.

Hi!
What will happend if i encrypt a whole disk, and after thet i install some software. Whether that software also be encripted or not?
I think you will understand me...

@CraftSRB Yep, all activity on the disk (including programs installed and documents created) after your initial encryption will also be encrypted.

@evansims360 Nice! :) What to do if something goes wrong?

@CraftSRB Just be sure to back up your important files first. I've never had an WDE go bad, but there is always that danger. Worse case your drive/partition would become corrupt and you would lose files.
