the attempt would have qualified me for nationals had i made it. it would have been my first time qualifying but i unfortunately missed it and wound up in the hospital instead. the emt's dropped me twice in the stairwell, which felt great considering i was locked into a stretcher. no worries, i qualified at a later meet that year.

This is a legendary lift in the lore of the Met Elite. I think you probably got the B team EMTs to take care of you. The good ones were probably dealing with a shooting down the street ;-)
