i was sitting at a crossing a few years back and i was the second car from the barrier .
just then a woman cyclist went through the gate and crossed over to the other side .
the train missed her by a few seconds .
i got out and so did someone else and we shouted at her to let her know how stupid she had just been .
and we got the finger , some naughty words and she rode of .

a mate of mine drives passenger trains and one time he did have someone go under his train .
he was of work for 2 months before he fineally got up the courage to get back in the cab .

oh I dunno, maybe because he didn't see the train until the last second? look at his head as he jumps over. He speeds up when he looks in the trains direction.
