The World Heli Challenge is one of the worlds premier pro ski events featuring thirty-six of the world's top skiers and boarders tackling the most extreme off piste slopes on the planet, accessed by chopper.

Wrapping up in August, the event days consisted of the Big Mountain, Freeride and Downhill.

The Big Mountain Day tested athletes skills on steep and radical terrain. Points were awarded to the person who maintained control and fluidity whilst "flashing" it, not for just the judges and media crew, but their peers who gaped from the course below.

The Freeride Day tested aerial skills with athletes performing on undulating terrain with plenty of wind lips, rollovers and jumps.

For the Downhill, the speed specialists came into play. Who could hold their tuck the longest? Who's thighs could handle the most pressure? This all event was a mass start, a combination of skier cross / boarder cross, but a lot faster.
