The faith cake

True scientists say, "We are aware that our theories are not perfect, just the best fit." No claims to absolute truth are believed because none are made. There is a recognition of what we are all f...

This is so eloquent. The video really adds to the arguments.

also the million dollar prize is from bonds. Bonds that can be invalidated at any time as well. Couple that with the fact that you pay for food, lodging, and expenses of James Randi and his crew, you get the biggest scam of all time.

The only person to win the prize money was a statistical scientist/mathematician who used his knowledge to fake it well enough to win the prize bonds.

Further more, I've read the procedures for getting in to the millon dollar challenge, and am disgusted with the amount of pseudo-experimental measures taken. It's practically rigged by the red tape alone.
He personally screens any contestants, and the experimental parameters are not allowed to have any margin of error on the performer's end, but Randi is allowed to change any of the conditions of the experiment at will. Anyone exhibiting any real talent would be screened out beforehand.

If you would be so kind as to message me, I'll link you some literature from some people who have made similar hypothesis. I don't think the literature is peer reviewed as of yet despite its age, but the claims are grounded in accepted phenomena. There are some recurring themes in the more faith based anecdotal metaphysics paradigms that support the claims made as well. The significance of the traditional thoughts supporting the contemporary claims is that these paradigms came of experience.

I take a serious scientific approach to metaphysics. I do statistical testing on very basic things before moving up to larger phenomena. A hypothesis I've synthesized for the the "skeptic effect" of powers drying up in the face of skepticism or outright disbelief involves a sort of resonance of consciousness scenario. If resonance of one outcome exceeds that of another, then the stronger resonance will win. I have a hypothesis that isn't testable as of yet, but am working on groundwork for it.

DANIEL 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

@frezzyfree101 LOL just because you have a lack of understanding about a particular branch of scientific study doesnt mean that it is not usefull to people.

@posttenebraslux100 you disagree with that statement? on what grounds do you disagree with it? science, as defined in the video, is not affected by the beliefs of the person doing the research or making the predictions. natrual law is independent of bias and preconcieved notions. our interpretations may chang based on beliefs, but natrual law is called natrual LAW for a reason.

@posttenebraslux100 first of all, as a christian i am very offended by your comments. if there is a god, he created the universe to work according to physical law, and the scientific method is the best way we have yet come up with to learn about those physical law. belief in god does not neccesitate a refutation of science and logic based on the bible. einstien himself compared his science to "trying to catch god at his work" in other words, science can actualy be very spiritual in nature.
