hey got to tell you nice truck. I've done the same thing as you but went with the 427 stroker instead and i was curious about the headers you used. You said mustang shortys and i was wondering if you could tell me exact what they are. Im runnnig a toploader four speed in mine so thats the only difference. Any suggestions from you would be great . Seeing yours go makes me want mine done.

im in the process of building a 418w right now, im using a level 20 dss cnc racing block, with a 4.1inch forged scat crank, forged 6.2inch h-beam scat rods, and .40 over forged trw pistons, i have a set of tfs heat heads that are going on it, and im using a CompCams 4x4 extreme cam so it will be more street-able and have good low end torque, its goin in a 1971 short wheel base f100 with a C6.

I have since switched to long tube hearders, had them custom modified to fit, expensive but picked up 25hp and sounds much better. THe shorties were bought to fit 93 mustang gt.

exhaust is shorty mustang headers, 2.5 inch pipe, dough thourley elect cutouts, flowmaster 40 series.
wheels are western slots (long out of production) 15x8 and 15x10 these are frome 1940, had them polished.
American racing make them as well but only 8" wide.
entire truck was sanded to metal.

It tunds 8k if I let it, I have only ran he 7k chip in it.
Trans is built AOD.
at the stasrt of the video you can here it shift to second then back to first, I was getting use to the B&M 3 speed shifter shifting a 4 speed trans.
