So I downloaded FlightGear a few days ago and now I'm learning how to fly and to land planes. This video shows me landing on Tagbilaran airport (RPVT) using a Northrop T-38 with Philippine Air Force markings. The flight began from Cotabato (RPMC) and the flight took around 15 minutes.

If you think the sounds are awkward, that's because I just edited them in. The original video capture was muted. The sound was edited in using Blender VSE, version 2.49.

  • Please help how do you align yourself for the runway when you land?

  • I have no idea. =(

  • the site wont work

    whats up with that?

  • Weird. Try "fallingrain (dot) com (slash) world", that seems to work. Then you can pick a place from the long list that they have there.

Or, you can always Google "longitude latitude [the airport that you like]". =)

  • no offence but this sound makes it harder for our ears to watch!! Other than that it grt

  • when i wanna land it will always get stuck on the ground !! help !

  • rudders (controlled by your numpad) 0 (left) and enter (right)

  • That's not something I can do because I don't have Windows. But you can help me...

You can download the package for Linux, extract and put the "quinarayan" directory in your Blender directory. "quinarayan" should be at the same level as your blenderplayer.exe.

Then, you need to open a CMD. "cd" to your Blender directory and type: blenderplayer.exe quinarayan\blends\QUINARAYAN.blend

That should start you up. Please tell me if that is the correct way in XP or if you find another way. =)

  • Within FlightGear, I don't know. But what I do is I go to this website, FallingRain (dot) com. They have a list of airports there, complete with coordinates.

I get the coordinates of the airport that I want to go to and write those down. When I play FlightGear, I get refer to that.

  • how do you set your destination airport?
