The Canadian National Womens Speed Skating team trains in Richmond at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Oval. TDevelopment team rookies William Dutton and Richard McLennnan have the good fortune to train with Olympic team veterans and hopefuls. Shannon Rempel, Kerry Dankers, Justine, LeHereux, Clara Hughes, Nicole Garrido, and Kristina Groves. Groves and Hughes win medals in the 2010 Olympics.

@mihojc95 There is no age limit, just find the right club like the other comment said. Clara Hughes was a bid older when she made her first olympic in speed skating. Not sure if you want to reach the olympic.

I've played hockey for 7 years and I'm 12.. 5 years as a player and 2 years as a goalie.. I tried speed skating by just renting some skates and going to a local oval. But, I was wondering by the age of 12 if it was to late to join a club as a "second time sped skater". I've been skating since the age of two so I'm really good on my feet and fast. Well, Thank you.
