Annie Lennox American Music Awards 2008 - Annie Lennox who recently had a spinal surgery to repair an impinged nerve gave a moving performance, and accepted her Award of Merit presented by Justin Timberlake at The American Music Awards held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

I Agree! Annie makes me fell honored as well as proud to be british. I come from a long line of English, Irish, Scottish, as well as Welsh ancestors; and I am proud of all of them. She is a better soul than the media seams to think that she is. I revere her, and I love her music! (Hmmmm.....I wonder if were related.)

She does not need to explain herself. That just shows what kind of caring person she is. She is so kind to talk about obama and her singing being black person singing and she is white. She sings from the heart. That's why I like her from begining. How rude to question that. I can say many things and obama is white----------------------. AM I RUDE

And then along comes Annie Lennox to insinuate that the Republican Party is racist because it's all or mostly white. I suspect she is not hip to American partisan politics and how the media has assisted the Democrat party for decades in insuring that the black vote goes overwhelmingly for Democrats. Also I hear Lennox often talk of feminism and the power of women in politics. I notice that she conveniently "forgot" to mention all of the GOP women who hold offices throughout America.

The only black conservative/Republican that the media allowed to be seen by the public in the last 5 years was Alan Keyes, who the media basically laughed off as "fringe". Keyes is a black intellect with impeccable credentials but because he happened to be Republican he was fair game for the leftist media who believe American blacks should be all of one political opinion.
