@bluehorse888 your comment really depends on the type of siding on the building and the condition of the existing finish. On some siding its okay to just spray it and walk away i.e. Hardy Plank, and on others you are just flat out wrong about spraying without back rolling. Additionally not all previously painted surfaces need to be re primed before painting. I would say that buildings that need primer before RE PAINTING are in the vast minority!

X2. I have houses I sprayed 8 years ago with no chipping and still has a sheen on the paint. I remember a friend of mine brushed a house for an old lady I knew because she didn't believe sprayers give a good paint job, three years after he brushed the house it already looks like crap. Spraying is the way to go if you do proper prep work beforehand, It's all in the prepping guys and it'll last years and years.
