Marlena Shaw's classic, "Loving You Was Like A Party." It was my first time to do this song, and the first time with these musicians, so it was largely unknown territory. But what a great adventure it turned out to be. The band was just smoking! I love them! I had the best time. Hope you enjoy it also.

Love this - Saldenha sings this like a....like a tigress. Cat-like. Hot. There's a feverish thing that opens up as she "heats up". Love that. There' also a kinda "dangerous" edge to it - rare in very few vocalists. Love how she opens up her vowel "A" on certain words of the lyrics.
