  • Nice work. MRD Drumline 82-86. Brought a tear to my eye. Great times. Thanks.

  • 1972 Grad of JMU - MMEd. So proud!!

  • I also was in the band my freshman year... 2000, the year before this video. :( Didn't do it in 2001. But awesome experience.

  • Very cool video! I was an MRD my first two years at JMU in '82 and '83 (those were Pat Rooney's first two years at JMU also). I was in a so-so band in HS, so being an MRD was a huge thrill, especially getting to perform halftime at the NFC championship game in DC. Looking back I wish I had marched my last 2 years also but didn't think at the time I could swing it with my course load. Anyway I have lots of great memories of MRD and JMU and wish I could relive them all over again! GO DUKES!!

  • Once an MRD, always an MRD. This brings back some amazing memories... I marched 5 seasons, 1994-1999... Great times!

  • I was there from 86 to 01, what a great experience. Pontiac Silverdome was a great trip!

  • I was part of the RMD in 1980-81 and just wish they had a shot of the purple uniforms we wore!! But this is a wonderful video and I'm proud to be an alumnus of RMD!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's the first time I have ever heard that performed at that tempo. I think I like it !! Nice job Dukes !

  • This is why I'm proud to be an MRD.

  • This...is why JMU and the MRDs have remained in my heart the last 9 years. Virginia's finest and America's favorite!! Go Dukes!
