Hey Bulldog, The Beatles, from the Yellow Submarine album, 1968.
The original basslines are doubled by Rickinroma employing a 1997 Fireglo Rickenbacker 4001V63 through a 1966 Super Foundation Bass amplifier.
In addition to his 1964 Rickenbacker 4001S, for this recording session Paul McCartney used the same bass amplifier.
Paul's bass is on the centre/right while Rickinroma's is on the centre/left side of the stereo.

I'm currently in the process of looking through all your Beatles covers. You really play so well, and the Rick helps a ton sound-wise of course, so it's a perfect combo of skill and medium. It's also a pleasure to see a player actually rocking out to the music, rather than just stoically sitting there as if the music doesn't get to them anymore! Anyway, glad I came across your channel!

Great to finally hear someone who plays base . Especially you understand how good and important the bass work by the Beatles.

@michaelpilot1000

Would you be interested in a set of ORIGINAL Maxima Flatwound bass strings? the exact 100% same that Paul used, NON REPRODUCTION? also, what are you using to record? your bass is so clear and non-distorted, thanks!
Floridaboy7777 3 months ago
@Floridaboy7777
yeah I imagine Maxima strings would perfectly match with the Rickenbacker. To record my bass I just use a PC microphone in front of the amplifier, directly plugged into the PC. Nothing else

I'm sure you probably answered this question in the description, but since I'm a retard:
What amp do you use? and strings? I ENVY YOUR AWESOME SOUND!
Alright, oh and congrats for covering good music

@beatle4life64
I use a 1966 VOX (JMI) Super Foundation Bass amplifier, and my basses are strung with TI (Thomastik-Infeld) JF344 flats.
