Randomly-selected lap from 2010-02-01 track day at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Camera is Canon Powershot SD780IS Digital Elph recording at 720p 30 frames/sec (fixed-focus, image stabilization turned off). Severe vibration issues; image stabilization might help here. Picture quality is otherwise very good; field of view is good. Sound is decent considering the pinhole microphone wasn't even taped over to cut down wind noise. The deal-breaker is that the camera stops recording when the file size reaches 4GB, which is after about 20 minutes.

  • who is driving? the Stig?

  • Really good - I hope you never stop posting !

  • Ok some cam issues, but I think ur onto somethin

This is 1st vid where rear mirror action is clear- I like that !

Also cam stabilzr is nice when grandpa tapes kids, but consider that when vid is real, viewers have better sense of track forces that beat drivers up.

Playstation addicts view my vids, see track unfold & conclude they can compete me. But sitting at PS controls they never felt Gs, aggressive curbs, eyes popout 4 hard braking & helmet tortures ur neck. Even say drivers r not athletes !

  • Wow nice driving I was interested in getting this camera looks pretty good and durable it too still holding a good shot and being shook the hell out of.
