@Felton321 No, Gen. Matsui was a man of real Bushido. He voluntarily allowed himself to be a scapegoat after the War to protect the Emperor's uncle, the notorious Prince Asaka, a playboy of art deco and golfing life. Matsui got to know about the atrocities committed by his troops after the Fall of Nanking and wept with disappointment at Bushido. Prince A on the other hand was never charged coz the US didn't want to harm the Imperial Family or tarnish their reputation in the coming war with Reds.
