Submission to Love - Chapter 3 (a jonas story)

-Nick calls back 2 days after the date. Dulce has already moved to L.A.

DULCE. Hello?
NICK. Hey, it's nick.
DULCE. ha ha How could i forget?
NICK. Well i just wanted to appologize for leaving so fast, maybe i could make it up to
you? We're having a show in Disney Land next week, i can get you tickets and we could
hang out after the show.
DULCE. Way ahead of you, i already have tickets.
NICK. Impressive, so i'll see you there?
DULCE. For sure.
NICK. It was really cool talking to you again but i have soundcheck in like five minutes.
So, i'll call you tommorrow?
DULCE. okay. see you next week, bye!
NICK. Bye. -smiles.blushes.

-Back at the venue with the Jonas Brothers.

JOE.(puts his arm around kevin)awwwwww kevin, our little bro is growin up!
KEVIN.i know, well we did all we could (sniffles),now it's time for him to go out into the
world. I think im gonna cry.
NICK. you guys are such dorks.
JOE. so who's the chick?
KEVIN. yea who is she. where's she from. bla blah blah
NICK. it's Laila, from the date we went on.
KEVIN. oh, her? niiiiiice. she seemed really nice.
NICK. she is.
JOE.(gives him a low highfive)good choice man. she is HOT! woooh!, not to mention her sister!
NICK. that's not the only reaon i like her.
KEVIN. it better not be. and oh yea she is pretty hot. -Nick raises his eyebrows.
KEVIN. What?




-Back at Dulce's house,Selena walks in with Dulce's laundry.

SELENA. Why do you look so happy?
DULCE. Because i'm gonna see nick again.
SELENA. When?
DULCE. Well we're gonna hang out after the show.
SELENA. What show?
DULCE. The show that we're gonna see at Disney Land. -Dulce pulls out three tickets and
Selena rips them off her fingers.
SELENA. No way!!! Who's the third ticket for?
DULCE. Rena, duh.
SELENA. Of course. That's cool.

-Rena is Dulce's co-star in her new television series. She lives in L.A., so her and
Dulce become best friends since Dulce had to leave all her old ones in New Jersey.
She has dark brown hair, with huge, beautiful brown eyes. Her hair is wavy and her
features are very soft. She's 19 years old.

-a week from that day. Dulce, Selena, and Rena are in the audience; the Jonas Brothers
are about to perform. The crowd is chanting JONAS JONAS JONAS and pretty soon, they hear
WE'RE THE KIDS, WE'RE THE KIDS, WE'RE THE KIDS OF THE FUTURE behind the curtains.
Dulce goes crazy as she sees nick coming out from the left.

-after the first song

JOE. Wow, we got a smokin audience tonight! -gives Selena the nod.
NICK. I must agree, this audience looks especially beautiful tonight. -glances over
to Dulce.

-The Jonas Brothers play three more songs.

KEVIN. Well as i say, I think it's time to get a little romantic on ya.
JOE. Great idea.
NICK. Well, i know that we usually sing Hello Beautiful, but this audience is special.
Why don't we bring back a classic. hmm. Let's call up that beautiful eyed girl in row two!
-Dulce embarasingly shakes her head no.
-Nick nods yes and Dulce couldnt say no to those puppy dog eyes.

Nick asks Joe to play his own guitar part so that he can give Dulce his full attention.

NICK. So what's your name? -he says pretending that he's never met her before.
DULCE. Laila.
NICK. What a beautiful name. -Nick takes her hand as joe and kevin start playing the guitar.

-Dulce switches back to fan mode and is completely mesmorized by nick's addicting voice.
As Nick looks into her hazel eyes, she starts to feel his knees tremble, so is forced to
look away.
The song ends and nick leads her off the stage.

SELENA. OMG that was sooooo romantic. Was'nt that the cutest thing? oh. right. You were
to busy lookin at Kevin. Well, i saw him checkin you OUT!
RENA. I dont like Kevin. -looks away and giggles.
SELENA. Whatever. So, Dulce, how was it?
DULCE. I dont remember. -Dulce blinks hard.
-Nick looks over at Dulce and smiles.
SELENA and RENA. ooooooooooooooooooo
DULCE. Oh stop. It does'nt mean anything.
SELENA. Are you kidding me? He just pledged his love for you in front of ten thousand
people!
DULCE. No, i dont think it's like that. Besides, he just broke up with Miley Cyrus
like two months ago.
RENA: Two months is a long time. Face it, He's moved on and found someone better,you!
DULCE. I don't know.
