Aston Martin's new Zagato race car looks fantastic. But the real highlight here comes courtesy of the car's completely unsilenced 6.0-litre V12 engine. It produces a mammoth 550bhp, which is transferred to the tarmac via an automated manual gearbox borrowed from the Aston One-77. So what is this stripped out racer like to drive? Here, Jamie Corstorphine finds out at Gaydon's high-speed test facility.

I know he wanted to do the review without the helmet but seriously I don't drive a roll caged race car on slicks without properly suited first. In a race car you automatically drive fast and the slicks do have a tire temperature to work with.
Anyways, skull can be cracked open in serious accident.

Rules and regulations restrict the power this engine produces, not because they haven't ''tried hard enough'' to get as much power as possible.
