Amazing 28 foot storm surge video from the Gulfport Beach, Mississippi. This incredible video captures the highest storm surge ever caught on video. This video is from the Hurricane Katrina DVD - Battle at the Beachfront
That gave me shivers. How on earth did anyone survive that? My thoughts and prayers are with everyone STILL trying to rebuild from this disaster.

"I don't think the water was supposed to be in the stairs like that" - Duh. Really?
"Why did the car put its right turn signal on" - That's its alarm system, because the water is moving it.
"They should have just closed the doors" - Whaddya think they did? Did you not see the ocean breaking in through those CLOSED doors?
Geez. Remarks like that are too stupid to not comment on.

yes. all this is very neat to see but for the people that lived in this after the storm was gone was when the horror became reality.
i have been to where this was taken before the surge took it down and it was very beautiful. . the beach actually wasnt bad.
Now that our beaches are clearing up from this storm now Gustav is coming....
Gulfport, Mississippi will never became a great place with storms killing it like this.
