Black is a underrated bourbon.

Jim.... Fucking..... Beam............. It is an atrocity unless you are using Maker's Mark, then, and ONLY THEN, do you have a Mint Julep.
Nice technique though, just bad choice of whiskey.

Is it true that is was Woodford Reserve that was originally used? Admittedly, it doesn't taste very nice..! I'm sure the Jim Beam Black is nicer!

If only I had a giant silver cup I could chill within a GIGANTIC silver cup :/ . Seriously though, this is as good a presentation as any. JB Black is a good choice, though any good quality bourbon would also work. I think one key factor is the particular mint you use. The "official" mint for this drink is Kentucky Colonel, which I'm happy to have growing like a weed outside my house :D
