I head out to watch a Hanshin Tigers game at Koshien Stadium in Osaka. Copious amounts of fun ensue.

  • I don't want to live in a world where we don't look to drunks to lead us in cheer. Great video, man. When does their season start?

  • Drunk people are sure good for entertainment. Especially if you poke them with a stick. The Japanses baseball season starts in April and goes until October.

  • yeah my first hater, high five (or as the Japanese say "high touch")

  • I don't hate, I don't like how you put down American fans. I'm from MA and the fans are very very knowlegable,I've been playing ball since i was three ,currently at Seton Hall so I"ve been to many states and the fans are great everywhere. Also i have been to Japan twice(my Uncle has been a Catholic missionary there for 52 years) and i was'nt very impressed with the fan they really did'nt pay much attention to the game.

  • I wish this would have been your first post. But anyways, I was referring to the cheering and spirit of the fans. I think fans in American baseball are too passive and just sit around. (depends where you sit though) Also Hanshin Tigers fans are known to be rowdy, but overall in my experience with soccer and baseball in <Japan, there was more cheering and the fans were really into their team

  • Those balloons look like colored sperm, lol!

  • I was fortunate enough to go watch the Swallows and Giants play in tokyo, both times playing Seibu Lions. however the atmosphere at an Fc tokyo or Urawa Reds Football match is way better in my oppinion.

  • I actually agree with Gaijinguide.

I attended game in Japan (mainly Yakult) for nine summers and found the crowd atmosphere much more interesting and enjoyable than American games (at least in Texas and Oakland). Japan actually made me a fan of the game...which is weird.

  • I love the baloon-stretch.
